John Ryan Managing Director   FRICS, FSCS, FCIOB, MIPFMA

John studied Quantity Surveying in Limerick and qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1989. He has 25 years experience in the construction industry, and has held a number of senior management positions in consultant quantity surveying practices in the UK and Ireland. John has acquired a considerable knowledge base concerning the construction industry and its outlook and trends. John was appointed Partner of Nolan Ryan in 1991 and was appointed Managing Partner/Director of Nolan Ryan in 1997.

Robert Nolan Deputy Managing Director  MRICS, ASCS, MIPFMA

Robert joined the Kilkenny office of Nolan Ryan in 1993 prior to working in the London office of Tweeds and at the Dublin practice of TB Kennedy's from 1990 to 1993. Robert has worked on a wide variety of projects including residential, commercial, retail, education, cultural and recreational developments. Robert has played a major role in the development of the firm’s cost planning and cost management systems and has a wide experience in various forms of procurement. Robert became a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in, and the Society of Surveyors in 2003. Robert became a member of the Institute of Property & Facility Management in 2006. Robert was appointed Deputy Managing Director in July 2008.

Michael Scott Director Belfast & Derry FRICS, FSCS, MIPFMA

Michael graduated with a BSc in Economics from the University of Ulster Jordanstown in 1982. A member of the Royal Institute of Charter Surveyors, Michael was appointed partner of Denis Rooney Associates in 1994 prior to the company being acquired by WYG in 1999. Michael was appointed Head of the Quantity Surveying Discipline in July 2008. Michael has over twenty year's extensive experience in all areas of the construction industry in both the public and private sectors.

Marian Walsh Director  BSc Const Mgmt

Marian graduated with a BSc in Construction Management in 1994 from WIT. Marian joined Nolan Ryan in December 2005, and has over 13 years of experience in the areas of project management, cost engineering, scheduling, estimating, sub-contracts management, validation planning & field engineering. Marian's experience extends to commercial / retail development, bulk chemical, pharmaceutical, sterile production facilities, laboratory, residential and office projects. Marian has worked in Ireland, UK, France, Spain and Puerto Rico, USA, overcoming various different cultural and language barriers to achieve excellent project results. Marian was appointed Director in July 2008 and she also holds the Head of Discipline position for Project Management & Building Surveying.

Gerard F McEvoy Director Cork   BE CEng MIEI MRICS ASCS

Gerard graduated as a Civil Engineer from University College Cork in July 1979 and achieved Chartered Engineer status in July 2006. He also achieved Chartered Quantity Surveyor status, in 2008. With over 28 years experience in the Construction Industry, in Ireland and the UK, Gerard has worked on a wide variety of projects including Housing, Sanitary Services, Commercial/Retail, Pharmaceutical, Civil Engineering, Hotels, Leisure & Tourism, and Quality Assurance. Gerard was appointed Head of Discipline for Health & Safety services in July 2008.

Paul Nolan Director Waterford   FRICS, FSCS, MIPFMA
Paul graduated with a Diploma in Construction Economics from Bolton Street College of Technology in 1971 and qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1974, becoming a Fellow in 1981. Since qualifying as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor Paul has held senior management positions in Consultant Quantity Surveying, Construction and general business organizations in Ireland and abroad. He established Paul F. Nolan & Associates in 1986 and following sustained growth formed Nolan Ryan in 1995.

William Kee Director Waterford   FRICS, FSCS, MIPFMA

William graduated with a Diploma in Construction Economics from Bolton Street College of Technology and was conferred with a BSc degree in Surveying from Trinity College, Dublin in 1981. William qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 1984. He was elected to fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Society of Chartered Surveyors in 1997. William was elected to membership of The Irish Property and Facility Management Association in 2003. With more than 25 years experience in senior positions in the Construction Industry William has introduced fresh approaches to project development. William was appointed Director in the Waterford office in 1991

J. Eustace O'Keeffe Director Cork   MRICS, ASCS, MIPFMA

A chartered surveyor Eustace has over 30 years experience in senior positions in the Construction Industry. He has managed the Cork office of Nolan Ryan since 1999. Eustace brings a vast experience in Cost Control to Medical, Light Industrial, Educational, Leisure, Commercial and Retail Projects. Eustace has been a member of the Royal Institute of Charter Surveyors since 1994, and a member of Irish property & Facility Management Association since 2004.

Glenn MacCarthy Director Cork   MRICS, ASCS

Glenn has over 10 years Quantity Surveying experience in both Cork and Dublin. He is a very effective project leader and has cost managed a large variety of projects in all sectors. Glenn joined Nolan Ryan in 2003, and was appointed Director in 2006. Glenn graduated with a Degree in Quantity Surveying in 1999, and became a member of the Royal Institute of Charter Surveyors and the Society of Surveyors in 2005. Glenn is also a Member of Irish Property & Facility Management Association since 2004.

Denis Quille   Director Limerick FRICS, FSCS

Denis graduated with a diploma in Construction Economics from DIT in 1973, and has been a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors since 1976. Denis has over 30 years experience in the construction industry both in Ireland and abroad. Denis joined Nolan Ryan in 2005, having managed his own Professional Quantity Surveying Business for the previous 15 years in Botswana, Africa. Denis was appointed Director in Nolan Ryan Tweeds in 2008.

Denis Carron Director Dublin    FRICS, FSCS

Denis graduated with a Diploma in Construction Economics from Bolton Street College of Technology in 1997 and a BSc Degree in Surveying from Trinity College Dublin in 1997; he qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor in 2000. Denis joined Nolan Ryan as a Quantity Surveyor in 2001 having previously worked in professional practice for three years. Denis was made Associate Director in 2005, Regional Director in 2007, and Director in 2008. Having 11 years experience in the construction industry both in Ireland and Australia, Denis has acquired significant experience in the procurement of industrial, medical, residential, historical buildings and educational facilities.
